Following our third appearance at the Fish and Chip Shop Exhibition at Castle Donnington we were yet again pleased to receive very encouraging feedback. Every year more and more Chip shop owners and fryers alike tell us how pleased they have been with the consistent quality from Markies. Many have told us that Markies is now their preferred variety. There is a consensus of opinion that Markies deliver several cost benefits including lower oil usage, faster frying times, better standing ability and interestingly more portions per 25KG bag due to reduced cleaning.
Agrico UK would like to thank all of the "Club" members who kindly donated some of their valuable stocks so that we could display our variety in its raw state and also give samples to shops who as yet had not had the opportunity to use the variety.
The live fry in collaboration with Kiremko KFE Ltd also produced very generous feedback allowing us to show just how good our product can be. Special thanks must be given to Jenny and A C Jacklin Potatoes Ltd in Lincolnshire who took some of the Markies and produced ready prepared raw chips in vacuum sealed packs for the show. Thank you Debra Jacklin for personally delivering the second round of chips following unprecedented demand on the Saturday.
The date for the single day event for 2008 at Donnington is 6th April - Sunday. Agrico will again be in attendance to help promote Markies as the most exciting variety in the Chip Shop industry.
